Walgreens Balance Rewards Helpful Hints

Walgreens Balance Rewards is a comprehensive program that supports you in your efforts to live your life in a way that makes you happy and keeps you healthy. You can earn thousands of points on many of the items you buy that can be redeemed on future purchases, either in store or online.

You can receive exclusive sales prices on items that are only available for Balance Rewards cardholders. You will know the items to purchase for these exclusive prices and you can earn Balance Rewards points on, by looking through your local Walgreens ad, visitng the store and looking on the shelves.

How do I earn Balance Rewards Points?
You can earn BR points by buying specific items throughout the store and the weekly ad.
When you look through your local ad and if the product will earn you BR points for purchasing, you will see this graphic:

For this particular product, you will need to purchase 2 to receive 500 BR points.

You can also earn BR points when you fill/refill a prescription. You will earn 500 points for each prescription. If you live in a state where you cannot earn points for prescriptions, (AR, NJ or NY) you will earn 10 points for every dollar spent on non-Rx vitamin or cough, cold, pain or sleep medication.

What can I do with the points that I earn?
If you earn enough points, you can use them on your future purchase(s) at Walgreens! You can also save up your points, you do not have to use them right away.
But please keep in mind that you cannot earn more points when you are redeeming your points. If you are purchasing an item that would “normally” earn you points with points that you are redeeming, you will not receive those points. But you can purchase products that would earn you Register Rewards with your redeeming BR Points.

Do my earned points expire?
Points expire 36 months from the day you earn them, but they expire sooner if you don’t have any account activity for 6 months. Be sure to watch these dates closely so you don’t lose out on the points you’ve earned.

How are my earned BR points tracked?
Every time you make a purchase on Walgreens.com or in your local Walgreens store, make sure you type in (online purchases) your Balance Reward card number or give your card to the Walgreens cashier before they begin scanning your purchases. You can have them scan your card, key fob, mobile app or you can provide your phone number to access your account.

Where can I find out how many points I have earned if I do not keep track myself?
You can see your current point balance by logging in to your account at Walgreens.com/Balance or on the Walgreens mobile app. You can also view your current point balance on your last Walgreens receipt or by calling (855) 225-0400.
